Information

About - Saddled by Gilbert Böckmann and Markus Brinkmann, Lord Fauntleroy jumped up to 1.60m level, notable for his scope and good jumping style.

Sire - Sire Lord Pezi was also a sparsely used stallion, but today is considered one of the most successful stallions in the L-dynasty in recent decades. Indeed, almost 10 per cent of his offspring jumped at 1.60m level, including Lord Pezi Junior (Pedro Veniss), Little Pezi (Mario Stevens) and Lord Pepsi (Paul Estermann).

Damline - His dam sire Contendro won a premium at the 1999 Holstein licensing, and was champion of his performance test in 2000. He was placed in the 4yr old National Championships, and qualified for the 5yr old Bundeschampionat His full brother Contendro II has jumped up to grand prix and is also a licensed stallion. His grand sire Contender was reserve Hauptprämie winner in Oldenburg on the basis of his excellent first crop of foals. He has 127 licensed sons and 498 offspring competing in sport; 25 of his licensed sons also jumped at grand prix.

Progeny - In recent years Lord Fauntleroy offspring have put him on the map. Despite a very limited number of offspring, we already see well-known horses at the highest level such as Let’s Go FZ (Giacomo Casadei), Ride Smart Legend of Life (Andreas Schou) Lord Heinrich (Jörne Sprehe) and perhaps the most famous, Looping Luna (Steve Guerdat). In 2024 alone, Looping Luna won the CSI Twente Grand Prix under the top Swiss rider, two CSI5* 1.55m classes in both London and Windsor, two 1.50m classes in Fontainebleau and Geesteren and two 1.45m classes in Gorla Minore. Furthermore, Looping Luna was second with Guerdat in a 1.50m class at Spruce Meadows, Calgary and third in a 1.50m class at Bordeaux in 2024.
