Information

About - Converter was the athletic Oldenburg Champion, with his excellent performance record and popular type he played an impressive role in both sport and breeding. His pedigree attracted many breeders with such a high mix of top performance horses, including his sire Contender I who ranks as one of the most sought after stallions. 

Performance - Converter won more than 20 show jumping classes up to intermediate level, with marks up to 9.0. He was Oldenburg regional champion in 2005, was placed at the national championships and was second best show jumping stallion at the World Championships in Lanaken. 

Sire - Contender won the 1987 Adelheidsdorf stallion performance test with a jumping index of 146.6. He went on to be the reserve Hauptprämie winner in Oldenburg on the basis of his excellent first crop of foals. He has 127 licensed sons and 498 offspring competing in sport; 25 of his licensed sons also jumped at grand prix. Among them are Montender (German Champion, double bronze medallist at the Athens Olympic Games and double gold medallist at the 2005 European Championships), Colore, Catwalk van de Helle, Chellano Z and Con Air. 

Damline - Dam Fontirell produced licensed stallion Coverter II (full brother to Converter I) who competed up to 1.40m, she also bred four successful 1.40m sport horses. Dam sire Silvio I who sired the 1995 Oldenburg reserve licensing champion Sir Lui van de Zuuthoeve, who become an internationally competed small tour horse under Tom Franckx he also sired successful dressage offspring such as the Oldenburg premium stallion Sterntänzer (by Silvio I x Pik Bube I x Marlon xx), which competed at the Bundeschampionate finals three times and twice finished fourth under Katrin Burger. In 2012 the stallion sold as a 12-year old to Denmark.

Progeny - Converter has produced several Grand Prix offspring, among them Newton Abbot, winner of the La Baule GP and member of several Nations Cup teams for Sweden. He is also the sire of a number of successful event horses at CCI2* level. Moreover, five of his sons are approved stallions.
