Information

About - Caroly is a compact, yet blood-type stallion, with boundless scope and ability, as well as being a brilliant, bold jumper with a competitive edge. At the early stallion shows of 2017, Caroly was a real highlight; galloping down to huge fences and clearing them with miles to spare off any stride. 

Performance - He was the brilliant winner of the 2014 Bundeschampionat, having won both qualifers, and then the final, with superior ease on an outstanding score of 9.60. He was then jumped under the Russian flag, winning several young horse classes, before returning to Germany to stand at stud. We hope to see a lot more from this great athlete. 

Sire - Calido I is one of the most important sires in Germany at the moment, with offspring including Coupe de Coeur, German Champion in 2006 and 2007 with Rene Tebbel, Nobless M, 2007 Helsinki grand prix winner, and grand prix jumpers La Coruna and Eurocommerce Acapulco. 71 Calido I sons have been licensed and more than 300 of his descendants have scored successes in advanced level showjumping. Calido's damsire Coriander competed at grand prix dressage, giving Caroly his beautiful movement and outstanding canter. 

Damline - His dam Cora has also produced another licensed son, Corde Dacora (by Carrico) who has already won young horse classes, and the international jumper Starfighter (by Stalypso), who has won at Bolesworth, Drachten, Vilamoura and Lanaken, and by March 2017 has already won two 1.45m classes in Valencia. Caroly's damsire Contendro I has been a hugely influential stallion and comes from a very strong performance family; his full brother Contendro II jumped at grand prix, as did three otther half-siblings. Contendro I won his stallion performance test and accounts for 66 licensed sons, including the Oldenburg champion stallion and stallion performance test reserve champion Charming Boy, the German National Champion Captain Fire, and Codex One, winner of the CHIO Aachen grand prix and the Stuttgart World Cup qualifier with Christian Ahlmann. With the Pilot-son Peter Pan as well as Pik König, Graphit, Gotthard, Frustra II and Dominus in Caroly's pedigree, every further generation brings a performance stallion.

Progeny - From very limited breeding, Caroly already has a licensed son, Caro Gold (out of a mare by Carry Gold).
